Jump Manual Review
Carl here with a review of the Jump Manual by Jacob Hiller…
Now if there’s one thing I’ve always wanted to do in basketball (besides actually being good at it), it’s this…
Have the ability to dunk with style and finesse!
I will always remember the first time I saw one of my good friends in high school dunk over an opposing team. It was pretty awesome. And it made me want to dunk so bad.
Fortunately, Jacob has provided a solution!
Of which, I will be covering in as much detail as I can…
Anyhow, there’s a lot to cover and I’m going to jump right in and let you know all about the Jump Manual ebook and maybe you’ll see if it’s a fit for you or your young athlete that you want to develop into a strong player.
Here’s the skinny:
The Jump Manual provides you everything you need in order to achieve your maximum vertical jump and quickness. No other program combines every aspect of vertical explosion training into one simple guide.
There are hundreds of programs such as Air Alert, Strength shoes, Plyos, Ankle Weights, College Programs, Stair Running, and the like. All promise an increase in vertical gains. But the Jump Manual is the only program out there that will guarantee to add at least 10 inches to your vertical!
Feedback & Overview
…what I like in this book is more friendly, simple language and clear approach with look back on difference dilemma that people have when start to develop power and speed. Also very interesting is list of bodyweight exercises if you have problem to work with weights, and individualized approach with interesting box tests to determine where you are, and what to do.

So here’s what it’s about…
You’ll learn about the fundamentals behind Jacobs strength + quickness equals explosion. Jacob then goes into teaching you how to train in what he calls the improvement zone. As the name suggests, this is the zone that you want to stay in to improve your vertical.
The exercises that you’ll learn will not only help to increase your vertical jump, but it takes you through a complete workout that helps to build up your fast twitch muscles. These fast twitch muscles are what will give you the explosion to get higher gains.
You will also be given a proper nutrition plan that will help to speed up the process of achieving maximum results.
One of the most common pitfalls, that Jacob mentions, is the idea that you need to continually train everyday. But the truth is you will gain more and bigger results from taking rest periods as well as having a proper nutrition to feed the burned out muscles.
The Jump Manual is not your typical program where you will be working out excessively at machine press. So you won’t find yourself doing hundreds of repetitions.
Instead, it’s a multi-faceted approach of targeting nine different improvable aspects. These 9 essential variables of an explosive vertical are: Strength, quickness, neurological recruitment & conditioning, fuel, stability and balance, form, flexibility, body composition, and hereditary factors.
He goes into complete detail about each one and how they effect your vertical jump.
If you are wondering if this might be for you. Well just to let you know, the Jump Manual has been used by many athletes – young and old. You can find ages ranging from as young as 12 yrs old to older athletes of 40 yrs of age.
If you are purchasing this for your young athlete their are workout routines that are safe and will not stress out their joints. The same follows for older athletes. Jacob makes these exercises simple to follow.
He also offers an one-on-one coaching should you need extra attention. So it’s great to know that you’ll have a personal coach or a mentor making sure you get results fast!
When it comes down to it, I’ll have to admit, the Jump Manual is a very effective and could be useful in helping to increase yours or your young athletes vertical jump.
Some negative remarks
Every product is going to have something about it that someone wasn’t to happy with..
The Jump Manual is no different.
From scouring a few forums I found a few skeptics that did not think a program was needed to improve anyone’s vertical. Rather they believed that a traditional workout such as squats could achieve the results you needed.
This is dangerous thinking!
The fact is, you may get some results from creating your own workout routine. But it will be minimal at best. You will be doing your own experiment to see what works, which could take awhile. And with the limited training knowledge a risk of injury is very likely!
It’s always better to learn from an experienced trainer and one who has trained athletes successfully such as Jacob Hiller.
Positive remarks about it
You can find plenty of success stories at Jacobs main site. As well as success stories in my comments section below…
In a bodybuilding forum, some readers expressed how they liked how personalized the system is. How it could be structured to fit your needs. Personally, what I liked about it was how well it was structured. Jacob takes you step-by-step through the process and explains everything in detail with his videos.
And of course, should you need help you have a forum of fellow members that have had success give you some tips. As well as Jacob providing his coaching support.
Quick breeze through of what you’ll get:
It comes in a downloadable format for any computer, Mac or Windows.
You’ll get the main Jump Manual pdf ebook, Jacob’s exercise charts, videos, access to his Elite Jumper’s Forum, Interview With NBA Shooting Coach Dave Hopla audio, and Interview With Peak Performance Psychologist Dr. Patrick Cohn audio.
My closing thoughts…
So, to sum things up, the Jump Manual is straight forward, simple to follow and an effective program. Plus, it’s not a scam because it actually does work!
You will find plenty of individuals that claim that it has worked for them in increasing their vertical. Whether it was for junior high, high school, college, or just for the average adult. The success of the program has been widespread.

Sweet! Congrats Ali!
I bought the Jump Manual for my son who is 16 yrs old. When he started he had a 32 inch vertical. After, just one cycle (14 days) his vertical is already 35 inches. I can’t wait to see his results after the second cycle.

Yes that should be okay. Plus with a partner you both could motivate each other to achieve great results.
How long do people usually do the actual workouts for? 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 9 weeks, 12 weeks? Because it says to do the workouts for 14 days and repeat. But how long do you repeat it for? Also, you can’t keep doing it forever because you will hit a plateau. So what do you do after you have done the program for a while?

Good question! Most do the workouts until they reach their goal. And the first two weeks is the time that people see phenomenal growth. But if you are not making any progress at all after the initial month. Then contact Jacob. He is pretty amazing at helping to figure out what you need.
Hi, I’m 12. Is it too early?

There are workouts that won’t require the use of weights that can be safe for your age. I would check with Jacob Hiller and he can customize a workout plan for you.
Hello I’m 16, 6’1 and a bit LOL but i’ve got a good vertical jump i can get to the rim preety easily, my goal really is to dunk but i can’t seem to find anything that helps air alert put my knees through a lot of pain but will this program stress my knees? I personally believe i need about 2 inches to dunk but squats and bunny hops aren’t doing the job :/

With any workout there is some stress, but it shouldn’t cause that big of a stress to where you feel pain. If you do, then you need to stop and recover. The jump manual includes a recovery program which details what to do and eat, because most of your muscle growth comes during the rest period.
If you read the testimonials at the Jump Manual site you will find plenty of people who have reached the goal of dunking… Even at heights of 5’5! So yeah, you can definitely reach your goal of dunking with Jacobs program if you apply it. And it’s more than just squats and bunny hops.
